Interesting water purifier

Just came across this:

Not heard of it before, but it appears that it is being used successfully - seems like a good alternative to chemicals (although it's battery dependent).

The water would still need to be pre filtered as any sediment would probably proctect the nasties from the UV. Nice idea though. Might be a bit fragile too.

However I won't trust it until Ray Mears uses one in front of a bemused crowd of pygmys half way up the Nile to make sparkling Evian water​

So 4 ordinary alkaline batteries can give as little as 10L !

Hmm, good spot.
So I guess if you get one, it's got to be NiMH batteries!
