Insect repellent ?

Is the anecdotal evidence of what works and what doesn't skewed by who people are with when they make their observations? In English; if you're with someone that the mossies/midges fine more appetising than you then you'll get away with fewer bites regardless of what you're wearing? This is what I have heard. Therefore, find a friend that the mossies like and stay close to them!

That's fine unless you are that friend that the mossies and midges favour :D
