I prefer the Dietz, Feuerhand etc more costly models of hurricane lamps. I find you can knock them over without the paraffin pouring out, whereas the cheap ones are effectively open at the top and the paraffin easily spills. I really like the light of a hurricane lamp at night, especially inside a Tentipi etc.
