And...its very busy here.

A very photogenic church (largley as its not crammed with trees and other buildings...I come from a village where the church is notorious to see).

Most of the buildings are military, for Urban warfare training...the cottages were mostly cob and so would have crumbled when they lost their roofs.

This is The Bell.

It has a datestone

Looks like an old Lime avenue to me. You cannot go off road much. Theres lots of privet hedges so I assume the villages farmed stick insects.

Couldnt stop, had a convoy behind me, Dad took this going out on the Warminister road. For tracks the roads are oddly good...but they are only used a few times a year.

But, by the looks of the mud; some offroad fun.

Imber is open until the 1st, if you are in Wiltshire this week.

Yes, this is a live firing range and though I did not see anything (I suspect public access areas are checked beforehand) UXB are said to be plentiful.

Presumably the farmer is compensated if a cow blows up?

Incidentally the cows I saw were all a black breed or Herefords; perhaps pedigree stock?

But certainly a grand trip. Has anyone been?

It's the methane gas, they're all the UXB's, from that mob who used to be in Hereford
