Okay, maybe a SAK or two, but that's a different issue I'm trying to solve one day at a time.

I've got a few custom knives but they are either tools for a specific use or works of art for occasional use only.

The knife I received at the weekend is stunning. A mix of tech and traditional. I didn't commission it but I couldn't have asked for a more "me" version.

It came out of the blue whilst I was looking for a Shing (still am). I'd been looking for something I can carry everyday, robust enough to take some abuse, simple design but with some stealthy embellishment to make it interesting to look at. It's got that covered.

When I first saw it, I didn't realise it was for sale. I checked the makers website and found similar ones but nothing as awesome as the one in the pic I'd been sent. They looked fine but this one was next level in my eyes.

It's got a futuristic relic look about it. Pleases me. Catches attention, a bit too much actually. Show n tell takes up valuable time.

My point is, when a custom knife can be had for such a reasonable price, why make do with a mass produced clone?
