Hi all,

Just wanted to share my experiences as I walked in the woods today - saw a deer as I bimbled around in the undergrowth this afternoon, and then, to my amazement, I came face to face (10 feet!) with a fox, who calmly gave me a look as if to say "what the hell are you doing here!?" before padding off.

I love it! Now I've returned relaxed, refreshed and rejoicing!

Are your deer fenced in? All mine are so I don't get a good look at them but
I did notice last weekend when I took a bus into Woolwich at about 5pm that
the deer in the 'farm' at Maryon Wilson park had moved further down the
paddock and were a bit more visible. Normally they lurk at the top so they're
a bit difficult to see.

I think we're a generation away from London foxes that will come and steal
food out of your hand given half a chance. I can see them thinking about it.

What does everyone do about the mud that sticks to your boots? I always
think I've got most of it off and then tramp muddy boots through my flat...

Sit on the door step and kick your feet together like a seal clapping its hands. :)

Gets most of the crud off.

Hehehe, indeed a good trick, I do that everytime I get in my car or else there's a nice little pond from all that dirty snow near my gas pedal the day after :yikes:

There was a fox that used to hang around the bus stop in the city centre and mug drunks for their chips and kebabs. On one night on leaving work there was a drunk lieing on the pavement while this fox was standing on his chest, licking his face and mouth. I did wonder if when he woke up next day if he could remember what the red head that snogged him at the bus stop actually looked like. This fox would not approach sober people.

A rare sight indeed but clearly not so impressive as a drunk with the foresight to forgo chilli sauce on his kebab!!

Cheers

On my old housing estate there was a fox that used to come bimbling around the houses at about 9 o'clock every night, you could almost set your watch by it!!
