Over the past month I've had a frequent visitor on and around my patio late at night... It's either a Weasel or a Stoat but I can't remember which is the larger!!!!
My visitor is about 8" - 10" long, Light brown with whitish chest and black tip to its tail :) So an easy question Weasel or Stoat ??

Cheers
Graham

It definately sounds like a stoat. Weasels do not have black tips to their tail. It's a bit on the small size at 8-10" but may just be a juvenile from last year of a small female.

I remember the sizes this way: Stoat is closer to B than Weasel is, and the Bigger one has a Black tip.

Pretty lame but it has stopped me being embarrassed in front of a group of school kids when my mind goes blank!
