ID Fungus

Hi folks,

Was out in the Cairn Wood (N.I) today and saw a small fungus, ground growth, light brown hue and a black spot in the middle of the cap. When disturbed omits green spores. Sorry I don't have a photo but was wondering if anybody knows what it is?

Impossible without a picture, but if the black spot was a hole, then it might be a puffball.
