And, if you go out on the drive and stand on tiptoe, a sea view...Im really going up in the world.

(I have lived all my life 50 miles inland so you will understand, this is a bit novel to me.)

Im in mid cornwall; any tips for a good beachcombing beach?

Durgan on the Helford estuary for shellfish, cockles, winkles and limpets. Prince Charles won't mind. Foraging up the River Fal from kayak perhaps. Chestnuts are very good this year in the woods of Trelissick Gaedens.
