I like my SAK but...

Its not really a thing of beauty...

I've recently started carrying one of these instead.

UK legal, Carbon steel and sharp as lemon straight out of the box.

It needed a tiny bit of fettling to remove a few rough edges when I got it but nothing a piece of wet and dry didn't sort out.

It's actually become one of my favourite pocket tools and replaced the SAK that's been there for twenty odd years.

I bought mine from a great little shop in Kirkby Lonsdale for about £16 but RS. had the best pictures I could find online.

It is a nice little knife and certainly felt good in the hand when you were showing it around at RC last meet...

I hadn't noticed the two types but I liked the fact that there could be no quibble about it being under 3".

Good to see a variety but I really liked the drop point and olive wood, it just had a classic look and feel to me.

Great little shop, you can always find something interesting in there, especially if you poke about a bit.
