I hate a critic whilst I'm working!

I was digging out a "brownfield site" on the homestead this week, getting rid of old walls, soakaways etc. in preparation for putting in the footings for two new glasshouses. Whilst I was sweating away, I got a foreman. He was very observant.

Brilliantly clear pics. I never would've known that was a robin, as the robins we have here are quite a bit different.

My mum always says they are the dead coming back to visit us .

Not long after my dad died she had one in the house , it flew in the back door and threw to the living room and sat on the back of dads chair .
she just left the door open and he left on his own about an hour later .

Robins just think we are pigs!
Before Man started farming Robins would hang around herds of pigs waiting for them to break the turf and root up lots of tasty insects etc for the Robins to feast on.,
There are not many free-range pigs now but man goes around digging up the ground instead - so Robins see us as pigs and treat us that way!
