Howdy. Been lurking for a while and thought I should create an account as there's a lot of very useful information from some very knowledgeable people. Hope I will someday feel confident enough to contribute something worthwhile and give a little back. Wish I had more opportunity to get outdoors and practice some proper bushcraft. Some of my happiest memories are as a kid in the States camping with my Dad - I'd like to be able to do the same with my son when he's of an age. Many thanks in advance to everyone for all the knowledge, skills, hints and tips which make this site such an incredible resource. I will shamelessly be taking advantage of your generosity! All the best Noslackyeti

How do Chiseller - the 'no slack' was the battalion motto of my last unit at Fort Campbell with 101st when I was still in the Army (before I got fat, dumb and happy), the 'yeti' part comes from what the guys in my rifle squad used to call me. That's a whole 'nother amusing story in itself... Your 'git-r-dun' brings back some memories as well - heard that a lot when I was in

Again, thanks to all for their warm welcomes. As I said, I hope I'll have the chance to give something back to the well I expect to draw so much from. All the best
