Well after the biggie up that Belzeebob gave me I'm afraid to say that the VE25 is a mare to repair.
I had one and what a tent it is, withstand jet backwash, avalanches ( in my case ) and just about anything else.
The problem is the material, the VE25 uses a siliconised polyester fly, VERY few things stick to this stuff. It's the reason that TNF don't seal the seams. A) it doesn't need it and B) most tapes / glues won't stick to it.
If you like I'll post you instructions on how to do a normal patch but I fear it wont take on your bomb shelter. If you can wait till tomorrow I'll speak to 'Gus at TRS in Musselborough as if anyone can affect a repair he can.
High end North Face, Lightwave and Hilleberg with their Kerlon fabric all suffer from patching problems due to the silicon nature of their flys.
