0.5 poles myself. Mainly used in the hills to take some of the strain off my knees and to help with balance. They also get regularly used as poles for my tarp and for my minipeak tent. Replaced my old alloy poles with some carbon fibre ones a couple of years ago and have really noticed the weight difference.
