Never been able to do the whistle with the fingers and still can't.
I used to be really good at whistling with the pursed lips. Tunes, anything. Always on key and loud. The I had a pushbike accident a few years ago and lost my two top front teeth, replaced now with a couple of falsies on a plate. The whistling is now a shadow of its former self!
On the other hand, I have a friend Anthea who does the two fingered whistle so loud I think she's damaged my ear drums! As Carla mentioned, people just don't expect a mid fifties, 5'2" woman to do that sort of thing...
