So after moving to rural Sweden (Värmlands) a few weeks ago to live with my girlfriend i thought id take advantage of getting out and about in the woods and being all bushcrafty etc.

I was totally surprised how many horse shoe fungi there are around...

haha, i think it will be good when it arrives so the lakes freeze over so i can get a chance at ice fishing and skating, until then its just like being back over there... grey miserable and raining... still not cold enough for the fun snow...

I did have a go at harvesting the amadou layer on another one bu its really hard... i end up with about a 1/2cm thick piece and when i try to slice thinner to get it to that fluffy velvety texture i only manage to slice small pieces... do you have any advice on how i could change that?
