A while back I turned some honey dippers, and have been on the lookout for a suitable jar to be a honey pot since then. Recently I scored a jar / vase in a charity shop for £2, it is marked "Royal Scot Crystal - Hand Cut Lead Crystal". Here is the result of my making a suitable lid for it.
The lid is turned in two pieces from sycamore, and finished with pure beeswax. I'm quite pleased with how it has turned out.
