Honey Fungus?

Could anyone help with identifying this one? I appreciate it's not easy from pictures alone. I'm just looking to find out whether or not it's honey fungus. It's growing out of a dead piece of cherry.

Had a closer look. The gills look adnexed to me and there is no sign of a ring, so I suspect it's not honey fungus. Possibly Coprinus micaceus, Glistening Ink Cap?
Any thoughts welcome, as my knowledge on the subject is definitely limited.

Difficult to say from pictures, I know that’s a cop out thing to say. Have you taken a spore print??

Def not honey fungus, I was going to suggest glistening in cap as we get both in abundance here.

No, I fully appreciate fungi ID needs more than a couple of photos.
I haven't taken a print yet. I'll try and get one this week though.

From a visual ID, it seemed the closest I can find.
Glad it's not honey fungus.

Ah, well spotted. I had assumed that was a seperate species growing alongside. Never heard of ozonium before.

Nowhere has the actual ink been mentioned . Have crushed one to confirm?
