I used my hive upgrade at Spitewinter for the first time last weekend.
Main comments:
- Overall very pleased I got it (and the rack).
- assembly - not as difficult as had been led to believe by comments of others, but did use a small wooden batten when difficult to do solely by hand
- bigger size means less need for constant feeding to keep it alight
- bigger space means easier to light using a spark
- good job I bought the rack as forgot to take a large tent peg or similar to rest pots on
- need something - eg bricks or tent pegs - to hold rack down or likely to tip over - I had a brick windshield that saved my food/drink on more than one occasion
- would be good to have a mod which gave a windshield - I have some thoughts but if anyone has a brainwave I'm sure we would all be interested

shiny shiny
The rack is a good size in relation to the (expanded) stove
I have discovered feather sticks - the really good one was done by someone else (?Shaggystu?) - mind you even mine worked
Easy to get a good blaze going
