I know the title implies i know where you can play it but...i dont! I have played it on FHM's top 100 but for some reason they have taken it down. I know can't seem to be able to play it on Douglas Adams' website. Does anyone know where i can or how to get into playing on DA webpage?

Its a great game. Its a text based adventure (for those who dont know), and its so deep! I have never managed to complete it and when i went onto a walkthrough to see how far i got it was barely anything!

Highly recomended if you come across it! Links?

Thanks all,

Jake

Wauw! I must say what a coincidence... :yikes: I was looking at this book on Amazon and when checking BCUK you had put up a thread... :D

I would like to hitchhike. Never tried it cause mom said no...

Isnt it Illegal in the UK? You didnt happen to find the game did you? :biggthump

Hi...

Game?? :?: I'd certainly bring the leuku... :rolmao:

I would like to try it with duffle, leuku, food pack, extra clothes, B3 Bomber jacket, etc. It could be pretty cool to test how far you could come. Not only driving in car which most people define as hitchhiking, but also walking, boating/canoeing etc.

A relaxed life living here and now! :D :biggthump

I'll askmy dad when it's starting, I know it's soon. They have got all the origonal cast they could for it as well. Sadly a few are no longer living. Having said that Douglass Adams is the voice of one character

Here's a link to a page connecting to an interpreter to run the old Infocom game on a PC: http://www.mindgazer.org/dontpanic/game.htm
There are various sites on the Web making Infocom's text adventures available, often through interpreter programs (I used to play Zork on my Psion pocket computer), or if you check eBay now and again you might find someone willing to part with the original boxed game, which came complete with Peril-Sensitive Sunglasses, some fluff and a microscopic space fleet in a bag. Fabulous game, the first adventure specifically designed to lie to you... and if you do a quick search on Google you'll find sites offering a solution, too. Particularly handy in the bit with the Babel Fish.

Here's a thing.... I got the babel fish sequence right in...minutes.

Had no problem with it at all, seemed perfectly logical to me.

I've been stuck for ages in lesser games and beffudled by lesser puzzles, but that one (possibly one of the most celebrated in IF) just seemed on my wavelength or whatever.
