Hi all,
I'm a newcomer to bushcraft, although having spent a couple of years with the TA (along time ago!) I realised the part I missed the most was camping out in the wilds and cooking over a fire etc.
Anyway, my son is about the age to introduce him to this (8.5 yrs), so I thought I'd join up here, as the website has already helped me get my first embers from a bow and drill I made from Willow (and then didn't have any tinder at hand much to my sons amusement!)

There are a fair number of Dad's on the forum, and they take their kids along to meet ups and the like. It's a great way to rear kids.
