I've been enjoying attending Bushcraft meetups in Cambridgeshire since the summer months. I'm sure I'll still get out during the colder months, but the opportunities will probably be less frequent so signing up to continue the learning indoors.

Goatboy, I'm not saying that I'm writing off the outdoors for the winter. Just that opportunities and if I'm honest the motivation may be less when the weather is worse. I've also had some great days out in the winter. Climbing up onto the Carneddau in North Wales with knee deep snow and hail driving into my face is actually a fond memory of mine, especially when a fell runner going the other way stopped to check that we were properly equipped with map and compass (we were) when he had no bag and was wearing a thin waterproof that was so waterlogged it was semi-transparent.
