I get the impression I should have said hello here when I signed up. Well I guess I messed that bit up but hey I'm here now!
It seems to be a really active and good natured forum so I hope I can make a useful contribution.
I don't spend many nights out nowadays but I do a lot of shooting for food and I like low impact camping when I get the opportunity. Gathering tends to be limited to ramsons in the spring and berries in the autumn. I also enjoy "luxury camping" when I take the 1955 Land~Rover, the 14 foot square, seven foot high army ridge tent and the lanterns, petrol cooker, rug, etc. I'll try to dig out a picture. I'm minded to build a canvas canoe to do some river or inland coastal touring but life keeps getting in the way.
When I can get any work it seems to involve sitting behind a desk looking at a bloody computer.
