Helsport Fjellduk vs Jerven Thermo

Apologies if this has been covered before.

Has anyone compared these ? There's a big difference in the price, is the Jerven really worth the extra. Bit of a moot point really as the Helsport is in stock locally at a price I can afford, and the Jerven isn't. Be interesting to hear of any pros/cons though.

The Helsport Fjellduk Is a lot different in shape and bit tight as a sleeping bag cover

Thanks Cliff, my chief interest is as a reflective basha for use with a long fire. Use as a bivvy bag would be good too, though I wasn't sure about either of these products breathability, have you used your Jerven as a bag and not had condensation problems ?

PS. I guess if the helsport is too snug I could add a zip-on extra panel to double the volume.

None of them are breath as there really made for very cold wet weather where goretex type fabics wont work .

Yes you get condensation build up but no worse than a bivi bag a ten minute airing ( solar wash ) sorts that out .

you could just buy some fabric and make your own ,

Great link, thanks ! I'll have a neb at the helsport anyway as I need some other bits and bobs from tamarack. Still plenty of time to decide and make something if I go that route.
