so ive had a good look all over it and cant find anwhere for it to go  so any ideas? it may not even be off this i dont know but im not intending to keep it as i was planning on selling/trading it on as its far to heavy to be carrying and i already have enough stoves :yelrotflm but i did want to make sure it was all there before it goes.
any help would be much appriciated :)

One of screws intended to go into the runners in order to prevent the burner assembly from being pulled out? Could be wrong, frequently am ...

That was my first thought on seeing it but it can't be as it doesn't fit. I thought it had to be a burner part or pressure cylinder with it being brass but I can find nowhere for it to go.

Is it a spare jet head? The MSR stoves have different ones for different fuels. Does it have a hole in the middle? Can you remove the burner outer?

Unfortunately not there's no hole in it and the other jet is in the lid in its hole where the spanners are.

Pic of my stove highlighting what I think your screw is and where it's supposed to go :D . My roarer pre-dates your silent and it could be that someone's put a spare screw into _all_ No2 stove boxes, irrespective of whether they fitted that Mark, 'because they were told to' ;) :dunno:

sorry guys yes you was both right, id been trying it in the other runner ive just put it in the side shown in yours then had a close look at the other runner and there was some crap in the thread which is why it wouldn't fit.
Cheers guys!
