Help: cleaning a tarp

1st thing hope this is in the right thread!
I went out this weekend and when putting up my tarp found that it very slightly dirty and looks like it has a bit of surface mold over it and could do with a clean any ideas on the best way of cleaning it? Is made of Light Ripstop polyester.

just sponge it off with tepid water, then hang it up by the attachment points to dry.

Put it up in the rain, wipe it down with some moss, dry it in the sun repeat until you are too decrepid to get to the woods....
