A bit late I know but I just read the rules and they say I'm expected to have introduced myself.
I'm Phil and I live in The West Country. I attended the Moot two years ago after watching some Bushcrafty videos on youtube if I remember rightly and it looked like something interesting to get involved in. I've been along to the Wilderness gathering too. I've always liked chilling out in the woods around a fire and doing basic outdoor bivouacking kind of stuff. Military training added to my love of the outdoors.
I bought myself a DD hammock and came along to the Moot where I took up residence in the NC and was converted to hammock camping. I'm just ordering a bigger and better one now as I will be spending most of August 'hanging' out in Wales. I tend to hammock camp in preference to tent camp wherever I potter off to now.
I like mucking in and making things enjoyable and inclusive. It seems my enthusiasm for the chilled out friendly Moot has encouraged a load more people I know to commit to coming along this year.
I hope to get involved with other Bushcraft activities around my part of the Country.
Well it is 2am so that is all I can say before I fall asleep at the keyboard.
I'd just like to finish off by saying what a great bunch of 'guys' are at BCUK, apart from the obvious ones of course!
