Hi all,
Thanks for allowing me to join the forum.
I'm based in Nottingham,U.K. And work for a well know health, beauty and pharmacy retailer as a Solution Architect but in my own time I'm a hobbyist hurter of wood, primarily using a lathe but I'm not fussy about how I turn a big lump of wood into a large pile of shavings.
I've been a dabbler of bushcraft since seeing "Duncan Dares" many years ago when Peter Duncan did a survival camp with Lofty Wiseman. I've read Lofty's book, SAS survival handbook from cover to cover many times. But sometimes it's good to be able to ask the odd question.
I'm also a Scout leader and want to teach my Cubs how to enjoy the outdoors without lopping an arm off or eating something they shouldn't and this seems like a good a place to start.
Cheers,
Ben
