How to start? I'm retired and live in the Appalachian Mountains of east Tennessee, about 4 miles from the Appalachian Trail, My home is in the woods and except for very few neighbors, my playground is thousand of square miles of national forest. (heaven on earth). I have been a member of Bushcraft USA for over two years now. I am traditional as far as my gear goes as less is best as I see it, and my age and back doesn't allow large packs anymore. I am always seeking more knowledge and friends in the bushcraft community.
