Hello all..

Hello all, just joined the site.

I’m interested in everything to do with the natural world, and like to capture it in art and photography. I’m also into ancient and pre-history and the evolution of animals including the human species – particularly the post ice age period of Britain and the rest of Europe.

If I had a time machine I’d like it to take me back to primordial wildwood of the UK.

My favourite fiction books are Lord of the Rings and the Earths Children series by Jean Auel (Clan of the Cave Bear etc).

Hope to contribute to this great site and enjoy conversing with you all

Welcome Vespa,

Sounds like you're not into 'mainstream' bushcraft, but I'm glad you didn't let that put you off - people are into all sorts here, in particular you should find plenty going on in the 'primitive' arts - flintknapping and the like.

A big welcome Alan. Sounds to me like you fit right in. Sitting round a camp fire with stories - true or fiction to tell is bushcraft! Well, one important aspect of it. I have had fantastic evenings being regaled by - high quality humour, the history of the Vikings, travelling by bus in Asia, the science of starvation, how to hollow out a bowl..........
