he he! I slept in a snow shelter last night!

I made a Quinzee/Quinzhee last night (piled up, then hollowed out snow).

because of the limited amount of snow, I couldn't make it very big, the inside is roughly about 3ftx3ft x8ft (or coffin sized )

I was warm comfy and loved it.

Snap! I must have been the only person in Manchester praying for snow last night. We got approx half an inch oh well maybe we'll get a bit more towards weekend

Go for it mate!
we only had about 2" of snow so the garden looks a bit green.
just make sure if you can make it taller and wider (Igloo shaped) mine was quite cramped, there's no way I could sit up, or heat water in there.

your soo lucky atm we only have about an inch or so of snow, but if it keep going im going to try to make a snow group shelter with some mates

Good lad, we've tons of snow, but i'm just off back out to work in it on the roads.
Ive got to make a quinzee this week, which will make up for not being able to make it back to the arctic this year.
