It would be easy to just say photography is what I do but sometimes I think it might be more accurate to say it is more like who I am.

Oh yes you live it and it's lovely to see the set ups.

I like this new diversion/addition to the lifestyle too. Masses of skill and an appreciation for handcrafts, fine workmanship and the ethos that goes with it.

Spectacles are both a damned annoyance and a blessing I hate that I need glasses to do stuff that I mastered forty years ago...on t'other hand I'm glad that they're easily available.

Fantastic - everything a gentleman explorer could need! Do you rely on local porters or some form of new-fangled (steam powered?) pantechnicon to convey your expedition essentials?

You are not wrong there, Old Red has been changed for Long Blue now but even that was riding on the buffers this last weekend.

I think I might need a trailer.

The porters are a lazy lot, keep running off. Pantechnicon it is these days.

I love these pictures. Steampunk is definitely a style I enjoy.

Not exactly minimalist camping. Why shouldn't we bring the odd luxury item and make camping that wee bit more civilised.

I do minimal every now and again but I do like a few luxuries when I'm in reach of a vehicle.

The Steam Tent Co-op is shameless Glamping really but with an old fashioned feel to it which I love.
