The densest turkey population in all of North America is the NE corner of Washington
and the SE corner of British Columbia. Bagged this above the Kettle River.

Not quite 20 lbs and a 4" beard. Sure tasted good. Used to have the wishbone hanging from my rear-view mirror.
Almost 20 lbs live weight (well, recently deceased). Neck shot, no lead in the bird.
My idea of robust foraging. Bag is 2 tom birds, one in the spring and one in the fall.
Two toms and two hens in a group, I could have banged them all.
We skinned it and I salted the hide.
Have given it to a Mohawk Indian who needed feathers for some Pow-Wow dance costume parts.
