Whereever I lay my Hat
All my years of camping and I have just realised that I sleep cold,Very cold.I own the old Survival Aids inner and outer bags with meraklon liner and this never kept me warm and find it to bulky,I have the vango nitestar 450 this does nothing for me so I am looking to get a new bag.One that does not require a liner as I used my hammock and loved it but did not find getting into the liner that practical with a hammock. Now I would think I need a winter rated bag, left hand zip and long as Im over six foot, also its gotta be light weight as Im walking the Penine way next year.Any suggestions would be most welcome.I have done some research and like the look of these.

Rab and Mountain Hardwear make excellent bags, down is the way to go if you want maximum warmth with miniumum weight.
But like SARhound says you'll need a mat inside your bag too, thermarest/similar or closed cell foam.

What he said. Rab have a bit of a reputation as the "kings of down" - well deserved, in my experience. If you're looking at Mountain Hard Wear you may also want to look at Mammut and Ajungilak (now part of Mammut), as they serve a very similar market.
