grub int woods!

We have been busy tapping birch here,i started by using an adapted barrel tap and then turned some myself on the lathe,they seemed to work better,we managed a good few pints ,here are some pictures:

Nice day out! I tried birch tapping last year but didnt really like the flavour.
BTW you frying pan appears to have a dent in it!

Looks great - good for me to see the birch tapping as I've not done that on my own yet - last time with 1st hubby was 40 yrs ago and the memory's a bit rusty! the lunch looks grand and a fire maniac is always handy
