Grrrrrr wasted time :(

Trying to make a formal sporran. Stitched it inside out and in the process of turning it out it split on the stitching

Going to have to unstitch and trim ripped bit and rethink how to stitch back on again

That's a bummer Orric, it's looking to be a nice piece too. Would some sort of trim cover it or look out of place?

We soak leather shoes before we turn them. Don't know if your leather will take that, but it does ease things a bit.

Always frustrating when something like this happens Often there's nowt much to do about it but to put it down to experience and start again.

Well after a wee bit of wailing and gnashing of teeth I managed to sort it. Trimmed it back and was able to restitch.

Good idea about soaking it Toddy. Next time ill try that.
