Hi, I'm Kevin (often known as Penfold) I'm in my early 60's and have been enjoying the outdoors with my family for many years.
Over the last 10 years or so we've become very interested in self-sufficient camping and firmly subscribe to the motto "leave nothing but footprints.....and may be the odd tyre track" I used to be really into walking the long distance paths but I'm afraid as I get older (and recover from an ICU trip with covid that the walking is now not so easy and sometimes impossible for me. Nowadays my wife and I are really into 4x4 based roof tent camping having a Darche set-up on our l200 pickup and a MyWay Serengetti on our Sankey based expedition trailer.
Whilst at the moment my mobility is limited by long covid we are still getting out and about and have just returned from a trip to Nash Oakland which was absolute paradise for our ten year old grandson...
