Hmm... I think that it will be used in place of G10 as slabs before it gets much use as blade material. But once it does, I'm sure somebody will start making graphene/silicene composite blades... But what will it be called? Damascene?

From what i just read, its tougher than diamond, i didn't see hardness mentioned. As diamond is so hard, its not going to be amongst the tougher materials anyway.

Well the hardness of diamonds has not stopped gemcutters has it? Perhaps you will knap it like flint?
