Biker

Bushcrafter (boy, I've got a lot to say!)
Was having a gander over at British Blades last week and spotted this beauty

I PM'ed the bloke about it expressing an interest. 10 mins later I'm looking at something for sale right here at BCUK which I would have prefered but felt morally obliged to continue the sale with the first bloke (I'm old-fashioned like that)

Anyway it arrived yesterday and I managed to get to the postbox without SWMBO spotting the parcel and got it into my workshop without it being seen and therefore searching questions being evaded.

So with hands slighty shaking in anticipation I got the wrapping off and just stood and looked at it. I love it. Good chunky handle in snakewood and ebony and a 4 inch skandi type blade fitted into it.

A proper tool and one I hope to use for many years to come.

Got it for the princely sum of £20. The seller must be mad, but I won't tell him that (ooops)

I just need to make myself a sheath worthy of such a piece of art. Not sure what design features it will have to have but I have plenty of pictures downloaded from here and BB to look at for ideas.

Anyway consider this one of my rare, gloating, look what I'm the proud owner of postings.

No, you can't borrow it.

Sometimes you get a tool that you pick up and it just is so right that you don't want to put it down :D and it's amazing the reasons you find to use it too :o :D

Nice knife, enjoy  Gloat away, we understand ;)

cheers,
Toddy

so have you bought the one off here as well ................. yet:lmao:

Seriously considered it but thought i'd be taking a serious risk as SWMBO might decide to sheath it in between my ribs.

Here's some more pix of it. Can you tell I'm chuffed to bits with it? :lmao:

I was mistaken about the blade length, it's 3.5 inches but I don't really care about things like that. Handling it's a sheer pleasure. Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way about well made tools and such Toddy. :beerchug:

Just seen some really nice sheaths to match the knives made by Rob in another thread. Nice work too. Might try my hand and the same style
