Will be going to Scotland next 17 august and are going to walk the west highland way up to Fort William and after that there is still one week to do some sightseeing. Is there anything connected to bushcraft or other interesting yhings that are interesting to see.

You'll have a fantastic time, watch out for the midges!! It's a long walk, however at this time of year you'll rarely be alone in the area of the WHW. I'd suggest a detour accccross Rannoch moor to Glencoe which is well worth seeing. And there's lots of forestry plantations north of Fort William to go and get lost in.

Have a good time, and like i said, watch the midges!

A word of warning Viking ... the Welsh midges rarely, if ever, bug me (he he he, pun intended :o): ), but the Scottish ones had the capacity to turn me into an arm-waving maniac, doing crazy karate-kid moves in a futile attempt to try to keep them off.

Never mind the midges, it's the haggis you've really got to watch, especially in the breeding season - they'll nip yer ankles and pee in your boots!
