Can't help looking at it. I tidied some kit away into my loft, actually climbed the ladder with it in my hand but couldn't go through with pulling the hatch down on it. As I write this it sits in the corner of my room within sight. I know I'm sad but it's just so lush. (Lowe Alpine Sting in OD). Anyone else feel similar about an inanimate object?
My knives - including everyday users - hang on the wall in the living room with the strop close at hand...I will lovingly strop and polish their edges (even if they have not been used for a couple of days) as I sit by the fire....
Many of my hand carved spoons, hand made bowls, tubs, flint tools etc take the place of ornaments on the shelves and I stand and admire them when I should be doing other things - like work!
I can see loads of my favourites from where I am sitting right now!
i do the same only with knives and axes.
i have this practical box where i have 4 axes and 16 knives in it, so far.
and i also feel the need to keep it within sight.
Funny, I keep behaving like that with SWIMBO... anything wrong with me?
haha I seem to collect rucksacks, I think I've got 5 at the last count but some are back home in the UK I want to get one of the ultralight ones next, it never ends
I have hated some rucksacks in my time, but I'm quite affectionate towards my Crux AK47 and I do love my Kifaru X-Ray.
