Go Outdoors refunded difference after Xmas sale

I asked the cheeky question at Go Outdoors yesterday if the £199 coat I bought for SWMBO which is now in the sale for £130 could i be refunded the difference. The young lad I asked first said he doubts it, so undeterred off I went to a middle aged woman, they all know about shopping deals, she checked with the manager and refunded as goodwill.
Thanks GO I am impressed.
The only downside was that I told SWMBO and she wanted the money for presents as it was hers lol.
