gnarly salt spoon

Hello everyone,
I have not posted any projects for a while, so I thought I would show this little salt spoon that I made a while ago. It is made from a piece of found wood. Which I think is hawthorn, well it looks like hawthorn. I like the little tiny burrs on it. I have left it in its original shape, just removed the bark and done a small amount of shaping, before sanding and oiling with walnut gun stock oil.

yes it would have been interesting to see all those little burrs before de-stalking

Thanks for the positive comments everyone. Wish I could find more with the burrs . Its the only time that I have seen hawthorn burr. No, sorry no before shots.
