German Goretex Flecktarn Jacket Sizing

I want one of these for dog walking and was just wondering about sizing im a 40" chest but i would want to wear something under it for warmth, does anyone have one of these which size should i get?

they are big in the sizing - meant to go over bulky clothes.

Great jackets, not rustly and pretty durable.

I've had these in the past and they're worth having at the right money if you can get on with the camo pattern - I'm a little larger than you at 42" chest and the medium was fine on me with as much as I wanted to layer underneath, but they have a nice "drape" for a military GTX and hang and look well with very little under them; that was the attraction for me as I don't generally do camo. One of the most comfortable w'proof jackets I ever had.

I don't think you'd want to go any smaller than a medium......................................atb mac

I was lucky enough to find one at this years moot for a tenner and they are big just what you need to a nice warm jacket underneath.

A thread over on BB said that a company called service and security has Arktis smocks in for £30 ! now thats got to be good, they are in dpm. I keep trying to think of a reason to let me have one...

I got one on here it's a 56/58 XL (or extra-gross in very unflattering German) - and It's a good fit for a stout bloke with a 44 in chest, and a fleece underneath it.
