I am looking at buying a new pack. I have seen in some army surplus stores German army 65l packs, has anyone used german packs before and if so how reliable are they?

i used to have a 45l german mountain pack and it was well made and very comfy.
didnt hve a frame though so no air between the pack and my back so it got warm quick.

Hi, you need to search in the forum for a thread entitled 'german army bergen' - I can't figure out how to post the link, but it basically says it's a very bad rucksack (infact the worst I've ever owned). The smaller canvas German rucksacks on the other hand are fantastic.
