Just get some leather cream and keep the creases cared for. Kiwi will do the rest, For you, I 'd highly recommend these.....

At least any future pets you get will be safe then....

Hi

I use some neats foot oil on my boots, but only now and again, it feeds the leather but you dont want to use it too often as you don't want the leather too soft (makes them prone to cuts and nicks). I also used the trainer in soles you used to get in Woolies, I should have bought some more before they closed down.

Drew, get some sorbothane sports insoles, you'll feel like you're walking on air - well maybe not, but they are good.

I use both Aqueous Nikwax and dubbin on the leather. I occasionally rub traditional Nikwax around the stitched sole seams and leave it to soak in.

NB. For an excellent shine, I can recommend tobogganing down a very long, steep welsh mountain slope on a child's sledge lying on your stomach and attempting to brake with the toes of the para boots ;)
