I'm suspicious. I have not owned any Gerber knives for 40 years for a reason:
I have never used expensive kitchen knives that were harder to sharpen
and dulled more quickly in use than Gerber. I had a Gerber in my hunting and fishing kit.
Never shed a tear when that got lost. I don't know what's wrong with those people.
I have a SAK folder, Prince model, as my EDC for decades. It has been enough for an amazing
variety of daily cuts and pokes. If I had to switch, I'd look hard at Buck, Schrade and Kershaw.
Top quality sharpening kit does no harm, either.
