Gave the fire log another go fun to make and use

These are great to don't have to worry to much about fire scares on the ground and relatively safe of not starting a forest fire with it ether and great to cook on if needed....

I split the log in quarters with axe or knife and wedge. Then embed all quarters in the ground about 3 inches deep to bring to "log shape" again. It works ok :) So no chainsaw required. :)

Hmm- I think it's quite easy to set it up without chainsaw. Although it maybe hard to do on hard ground.

They are easy enough to make with an axe. Though you have to be more critical with log selection. Get a piece with no knots or as few and small as possible if using an axe/big knife as it will split easily, then point one end a bit. With a chainsaw there are no considerations.
