Gatherables in Macclesfield Forest?

Hi all,


I have done a bit of foraging before, mainly at home (Cumbria) or when Ive done some work in the highlands. Tomorrow ill be around macc forset, and was wondering if there will be anything to forage for at the moment (Ive done my 5 litres of sloe gin already, so thats out) I was thinking rosehips for syrup, but i wonder if they will still be alright, any other Ideas guys? I do have ray mears ect. books for guidance, but i ust thought ide ask.

Not sure about right now but when the bilberries are in season tegs nose is the place to be!
