Hmmm, anyone want to buy mine for £600 shall we say, i'll throw in a rather nice braided neck strap and a belt sheath as well. :lmao:
Bargain I'm sure.... ;)

Staggering isnt it. I dunno who is buying these, but I doubt it's bushcrafters - or collectors for that matter. A bushcrafter wont be able to justify a knife at that price and a collector is too shrewed to pay the runaway ebay price. It must be speculators - people who think they will just keep going up and up in value and they will make a lot of money. Some of them are going to get stung sooner or later.

I think there's a lot of armchair bushcrafters out there who like the idea of having one, see it as an investment and it will come in handy for all the bushcrafting they don't do anyway. I can see them becoming heirlooms of the future, the connection with Ray and the fact that they were produced by the famous Wilkinson Sword factory, before it closed means they will be desirable for a long time. I wonder how many were produced, I think the bubble will only burst if there were many thousands and they remain widely available, I wouldn't be surprised if they started making serious money (4 figures) in a decade or so, prices may have settled a bit after the first flush of bushcrafters decided to sell up and release a bit of equity but you just have to look at a lot of the prices estimated for stuff on TV antiques shows to realise that taste, quality and so on have little bearing on what some will pay.
